Servers with item upgrades add a progression system where you improve weapons, armor, and tools beyond vanilla, usually through upgrade menus, custom crafting, reforging, tiers/rarities, or special materials. It’s common on RPG, Skyblock, Prison, and some PvP servers, and the upgrades often stack stats like damage, defense, mining speed, or extra effects.
