RPG servers add role-playing game systems on top of Minecraft, usually with classes or builds, leveling and skills, quest lines, and custom mobs and items. They often use a hub with instanced or gated adventure zones, dungeons, and bosses, and progression is more about stats and gear than vanilla survival.
