Shimajima Minecraft Islands

Shimajima: Minecraft Islands is an SMP built around the classic islands challenge: start with very limited resources in a vast ocean world and build yourself up from a small island. The world is made of islands in many shapes, sizes, and biomes, and each island includes a small village you can develop over time. Designed by vanilla enthusiasts, Shimajima keeps the core feel of vanilla Minecraft while adding a few enhancements aimed at making island life compelling for both solo players and teams. You can expand beyond a single island and build a multi-island empire, including the option to go to war with neighboring islands, and the server avoids pay-to-win, voting rewards, and overpowered gear or crates, with funding coming from community donations.
