Sky Wars servers run a fast PvP minigame where players spawn on separate floating islands, loot chests for gear, bridge or fight toward mid, and try to be the last player or team alive. Falling into the void is a common way to die, and matches usually reset quickly with multiple maps and kits or loot tiers.
