Servers with partial keep inventory let you keep only some items on death instead of dropping everything. Usually it’s based on rules like keeping your hotbar, armor, tools, or items with a special tag, while the rest drops normally. It’s common on semi-vanilla survival and PvE servers that want death to matter without being a full wipe.
