Horror servers are built around being scary instead of cozy survival, usually using resource packs, custom mobs, darker lighting, ambient sounds, and scripted events. They often run adventure-style maps, haunted locations, or survival with tougher nights and jump-scare style mechanics, sometimes with proximity voice or roleplay to sell the atmosphere.
