Advanced vanilla usually means mostly vanilla survival with a few extra systems layered on through datapacks or light plugins, like tougher mobs, custom crafting, new progression goals, small QoL tweaks, and sometimes a light economy. It’s still meant to feel like normal Minecraft and keep the vanilla balance, just with more depth and challenge.
