Servers tagged version 1.12 are locked to Minecraft 1.12.x (often 1.12.2), usually because they run older plugins or big modpacks that were built for that era. Expect pre-1.13 mechanics and item IDs, and a lot of legacy modded, factions, and survival setups that never updated past 1.12.
