Modded servers run on a mod loader like Forge, Fabric, or NeoForge and require players to install a specific modpack. They usually add new items, blocks, mobs, dimensions, and progression systems, often centered around tech, magic, exploration, or RPG-style gameplay, and can differ a lot from vanilla balance and mechanics.
