Servers with a level system add an extra XP/leveling layer on top of vanilla, where you earn levels from things like mining, combat, quests, or playtime and spend them on perks, skill boosts, kits, or unlocks. It’s usually tied into RPG-style progression, ranks, or economy and gives players long-term goals beyond normal Minecraft XP.
