(2)Generator Islands

Usually a Skyblock-style mode where your island has one or more generators that produce blocks/items over time (often upgradeable). Progress is based on improving generators, expanding the island, and using the generated resources for crafting, shops/trading, and sometimes PvP or island challenges.
