Servers with earnable ranks have a progression ladder where you start at a low rank and rank up by meeting in-game requirements like playtime, money, quests, jobs, achievements, or staff-set challenges. Higher ranks usually unlock extra permissions, kits, homes, claims, or cosmetic perks without needing to buy ranks.
