DayZ servers are hardcore survival/PvP setups inspired by the DayZ formula: scarce loot, hostile players, and usually zombies or other mobs as constant pressure. Expect scavenging in towns, limited healing/food, permadeath or harsh death penalties, and a focus on roaming, ambushes, and small bases or hideouts rather than long-term building.
