Servers with this tag generally allow or encourage building AFK-able farms (iron, mob, crop, raid, etc.) and usually have rules or features around it, like anti-AFK limits, chunk loaders, or designated AFK areas. The gameplay tends to lean toward technical survival and automation where passive resource generation is a normal part of progression.
