What if a Minecraft speedrun was a relay race? Same generated world, each player gets a few minutes, then you pass the world to the next person, who picks up wherever you left off. Goal: collectively kill the dragon (or watch someone burn the next runner’s turn in lava).

What makes it different:

Blind Relay: you can’t spectate before your turn. You read the world cold when you spawn in. Inheriting bad decisions is half the fun.

Difficulties: 1, 5, 10, or 30 min per turn. 1-min is sweaty, 30-min lets new players actually progress.

Multiple games run in parallel from a central hub with leaderboards by category.

Real generated worlds every game, no template pool.

Vanilla gameplay on Java 1.21, no client-side mods or installs needed.

Bring a group of 4-10 and see how far you can take the relay. The handoffs are where it gets interesting (good luck inheriting a half-built portal at 8 seconds).
