Sky island adventure servers start players on one or more floating islands over the void, with limited resources and progression based on expanding the island, bridging to other islands, and completing challenges. They’re usually a mix of skyblock-style survival, exploration of scattered islands, and custom objectives or dungeons in a sky world.
