PVE servers focus on fighting mobs and doing survival progression without player-vs-player combat being the main thing. Usually PvP is disabled or heavily restricted, and the gameplay revolves around grinding gear, exploring, running dungeons or custom bosses, and sometimes quests or RPG-style leveling, often with co-op encouraged.
