Plugin-rich servers run on Spigot/Paper and lean heavily on lots of plugins to add features beyond vanilla, like claims, economy, quests, custom items, ranks/perks, warps, minigames, and various QoL commands. Gameplay is usually more guided and system-heavy than a simple survival server, with menus, events, and multiple mechanics layered on top.
