Servers that generate worlds to resemble older Minecraft versions, usually by using legacy worldgen presets or plugins/mods to bring back things like Beta-style hills, older biome layouts, and classic-looking coastlines and caves. Often paired with a generally old-school survival vibe, but the tag mainly refers to the terrain generation.
